LINDSEY HEDGE
Studio Manager

Lindsey was born in Troy, Michigan and moved to Chicago at the age of two. She was born Lindsey Scott Hedge- great granddaughter of 19th century writer Sir Walter Scott author of Ivanhoe and Rob Roy.She grew up around photography in the 80’s. Both her parents were traveling automotive photographers in their early careers. Her Dad would shoot car events and Mom would print photos in hotel bathrooms.

Lindsey first considered becoming a photographer in high school after a friend complimented her vacation photos from Washington DC. This sparked an interest to pursue the medium more seriously. She enrolled in photography classes as a junior in HS learning fundamental black and white printing and photographing dead animals.

Lindsey later attended California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA to study fine art photography under teachers Jim Goldberg and Larry Sultan. After two years she was tired of fine art school and left for New Zealand to do a 3-month internship with both a commercial photographer and the Department of Conservation. At the completion of that internship she traveled New Zealand in a red ’87 Ford station wagon for 6 months before deciding to go back to school. Now in Australia at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and driving a better station wagon she studied commercial photography and studio lighting.

Upon successful graduation she moved back to Chicago in early 2005 to be near her family. Lindsey began working for Saverio soon after, producing his shoots, ordering thank you cards and sending dirty dishrags home with him to be washed. You can find her at Saverio’s studio Monday through Friday telling the interns what to do next.
